Dahlem Lectures in Linguistics
We invite researchers from Germany and abroad to the Dahlem Lectures in Linguistics (DLL) of the Dahlem Center for Linguistics (formerly iZEUS) to talk about current topics in linguistics. Among other things, we discuss grammatical phenomena and their explanations, linguistic theories and methods, the social embedding of language and aspects of language change. Another important topic for us is the scientific integration of findings from neuro-, psycho- and computational linguistics and traditional grammar theory.
Semester opening: Linguistik im November
Our event series for the opening of the academic year in cooperation with the Dahlem Humanities Center: Linguistik im November (in German). Every year in November, we organize a panel discussion on a current and socially relevant topic.
